Rob had more than 20 years’ experience in some of Australia’s leading financial institutions before launching his own successful practice in 2003, McGregor Wealth Management. Rob is also a founding partner of GPS Wealth, a national financial advisory group with over 350 financial advisors.
Rob has been using the CARE investment philosophy for over 15 years and had helped him in managing clients’ investments through the Global Financial Crisis. Through his own practice, Rob recognised a need to give clients aged 35 to 50, who are considered to be in an ‘accumulation’ phase of their financial life, a simple, structured and successful way of building wealth for retirement. From here he created Pathway to Wealth – the simple steps to financial success. The program achieved recognition as a 2009 Finalist of the Asset Innovation Awards hosted by the Australian Financial Review.
Rob’s achievements in the financial industry and also as a business strategist have been recognised through a number of awards, including most recently Financial Planner of the Year 2010 and National Top Producer in 2011 for his previous dealer group. In November 2011, he was runner up in the Money Management Financial Planner of the Year awards, announced at the FPA Annual Conference.
