James began his career in financial planning after moving to the Gold Coast in 2020. He has since completed a Graduate Diploma of Financial Planning and would like to further his education and qualifications by obtaining the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and Self-Managed Super Fund (SMSF) Specialist designations in the future.

As an Associate Adviser, James supports clients across superannuation, insurance, investments, and debt management while continuing to grow his professional expertise. He is passionate about guiding clients through complex financial decisions with clarity and confidence.

Outside of work, James enjoy staying active, spending time with family, including his young son and friends.

What work do you do at My Wealth Solutions?

As an Associate Adviser, I work closely with our advisers to prepare tailored financial strategies for clients. This involves research, modelling, and developing recommendations. I also provide ongoing support to ensure our clients’ plans continue to reflect their goals as life changes.

What do you wish people knew about financial planning?

That it’s not just about investments or superannuation, it’s about creating a clear plan for our clients to achieve the lifestyle and goals they desire. Good financial planning helps reduce stress, gives clients confidence in their decisions, and adapts as their circumstances change.

If you could give one piece of advice to yourself from 10 years ago, what would it be?

Back yourself and start sooner. Whether it’s saving, investing, or pursuing opportunities, time is one of the most valuable resources you have. The earlier you take action, the greater the long-term benefits.

What’s your weirdest office habit?

I am very particular about the setup of my desk and what goes where, everything has its rightful place. I find I can’t focus unless everything is where I think it needs to be.
