GPS Wealth: Practice of the Year 2024

This year our My Wealth Solutions team did us proud at the 10th GPS Wealth Conference this year, bringing home Practice of the Year 2023-2024 held from 25th-30th August in beautiful Queenstown, New Zealand. This marks our fourth time receiving this recognition! 

As usual, the conference was an excellent opportunity to learn from expert speakers and network with GPS Wealth’s network of financial advisors.  Ben Budge, Izzy Tittor and Lachlan Brien attended the conference to hear more about the opportunities that these changing times offer, both for us as a business and for our clients. It was encouraging to be surrounded by other advisors who are also looking to the future with confidence.

Ben Budge joined a panel discussion on day two, where he shared his journey and the mentors who have shaped his career, while also discussing what continues to drive him to push for excellence as an adviser.

While the conference itself was an inspiring and rewarding week, with its theme of “Limitless” perfectly capturing the spirit of boundless ambitions, goals, dreams, and opportunity, the true excitement always builds towards the Gala Dinner & Awards Night. 

Winning Practice of the Year is an exciting commendation of our team’s professionalism and dedication to providing great financial advice. To top off our Practice of the Year award, we celebrated bringing home two additional awards:

• Izzy Tittor received the Emerging Adviser Award.
• Lachlan Brien was recognised with the Practice Support Award.

GPS Wealth: Practice of the Year 2023

For the most recent GPS Wealth Conference, Ben Budge and his family attended the Langkawi 2023 GPS Wealth Conference, and brought home the Practice of the Year trophy for the My Wealth Solutions team!

This is the third year that we have received the Practice of the Year award, and we are grateful for the honour of receiving this award.

The 2023 GPS Wealth Conference was held in Langkawi, Malaysia from July 23 to 28, with the theme “The Time is Now.” As usual, the conference was an excellent opportunity to learn from expert speakers and network with GPS Wealth’s network of experienced financial advisors.

The 2023 event was timely as we transitioned through the changes happening within the financial advice industry. These changes are overall positive, providing clients with higher-quality and more reliable advice from certified advisors.

However, there is a significant increase in the number of practising financial advisors, even as the demand for good advice grows as families plan for economic challenges and opportunities.

Our team was excited to hear more about the opportunities that these changing times offer, both for us as a business and for our clients, and it was encouraging to be surrounded by other advisors who are also looking to the future with confidence.

Practice of the Year Award 2022-2023 is awarded to the entire My Wealth Solutions team for outstanding professionalism, demonstration of, and dedication to being the leader in client-focused quality advice and service.

Winning Practice of the Year for the third time is an exciting commendation of our company values, ethos, and expertise.

As a client-focused business, it is excellent to be recognized for working for our clients in the right way, to enable them to achieve their financial goals.

GPS Wealth: Practice of the Year 2022

In 2022, Guy Freeman and Ben Budge attended the GPS Wealth Conference. They brought home three trophies for the My Wealth Solutions team!
The 2022 GPS Wealth Conference was held in sunny Cairns from March 20 to 25. The theme was The Future is in Our Hands.
As usual, the conference was an excellent opportunity to learn from expert speakers and mingle with GPS Wealth’s network of experienced financial advisors.

The 2022 event was timely as the financial advice industry was transitioning through changes. These changes were overall positive, providing clients with higher-quality and more reliable advice from certified advisors. However, there was a substantial reduction in the number of practicing financial advisors, even as the demand for good advice grew as families planned for economic challenges and opportunities. Our team was excited to hear more about the opportunities that these changing times offered, both for us as a business and for our clients. It was also encouraging to be surrounded by other advisors who were also looking to the future with confidence.

Many of the attendees also took the opportunity to experience some of the adventurous experiences Cairns has to offer, such as white water rafting, visits to the Great Barrier Reef or Daintree Rainforest, and riding the Skyrail! GPS Wealth delivered a fun and educational conference once again.

While the conference was excellent for its educational aspects and catching up with old friends, the real excitement always gathers at the annual Gala Dinner & Awards Night. The themed costumed dinner on the final night (Guy and Ben dressed as characters from Finding Nemo), is where we find out if our hard work over the last year has been recognised. This year, we were honoured to receive a number of awards.

• Practice of the Year Award 2020-2021: awarded to the entire My Wealth Solutions team for outstanding professionalism and demonstration of and dedication to being the leader in client-focused quality advice and service.
• Best Website 2020-2021: awarded for My Wealth Solutions functional and educational website that connects clients and potential clients with our advisors and shares quality financial information
• 10 Year Club: awarded to the entire My Wealth Solutions team for belonging to the GPS Wealth network for 10 Years.

GPS Wealth: Practice of the Year 2019

he My Wealth Solutions’ Financial Advice Team did us proud at the 2019 GPS Wealth Conference, bringing home three awards across a broad range of categories.

The conference, which took place in Bangkok from the 2nd of July until the 7th of July, was designed to encourage GPS Wealth’s network of experienced financial advisors, of which My Wealth Solutions is a part, to continue their education by learning from a number of expert speakers. This spirit of learning was reflected in the conference’s theme: Dream today, Own tomorrow.

Of course, while education was the main focus of event, there was still plenty of time to celebrate the achievements of those in the GPS community who stood out in the past year. At the annual Gala Dinner & Awards Night, a themed costume dinner on the final night of the conference, Ben Budge and Nikki Booth were honoured to receive a number of awards, including:

• Young Gun of the Year Award for 2018-2019: awarded to Nikki Booth for her dedication to developing herself professionally through GPS’ learning opportunities and consistent high performance
• GPS Wealth Award for 2018-2019: awarded to Guy Freeman for excellence in leadership, commitment to a respectful and collaborative work environment and active participation in the GPS community
• Practice of the Year Award for 2018-2019: awarded to the entire My Wealth Solutions team for outstanding professionalism and demonstration of and dedication to being the leader in client-focused quality advice and service.

My Wealth Solutions were also finalists in the following award categories:

• Best Website for 2018-19: which My Wealth Solutions was nominated for due to a forward-thinking website that serves to connect you with both expert financial advice and quality financial information.
• Adviser of the Year for 2018-2019: which Ben Budge was nominated for due to his demonstrated excellence in the field and the contributions he makes to both My Wealth Solutions and the everyday lives of his clients.

“Honestly, I was in shock when they announced that I had won the Young Gun award. It felt like a confirmation that I was doing the right thing both by my clients and in my professional growth. I’m glad I got to share that experience with him as it reinforced that I was on the right track in my career.
