Our fees vary based on your circumstances, chosen strategies, and the level of support you might need. This is because we are a fee-for-service advisory, so you only pay for the services that are in place and that are actively adding value to your situation.
Your first consultation is on us. To determine the cost of our services for you, your adviser will spend your first meeting getting to know your situation, including your lifestyle needs and your goals. After this first meeting, we provide you with a transparent and detailed quote for your financial plan.
Our fees will usually include an upfront fee for the creation of your financial roadmap (Statement of Advice), as well as our ongoing services fee that covers the cost of implementing and maintaining your plan.
Advice fees can be covered from superannuation, or paid from your cashflow, depending on your circumstances. Some of your advice fees may also be tax-deductible if they are related to tax advice or producing a taxable income.
Many financial advisors offer a range of services — but at My Wealth Solutions, we take it further. Our holistic approach means we look at every aspect of your financial life, not just your super or your investments, to help you understand how everything works together. We also consider how your career, family, and future ambitions intersect with your financial wellbeing.
We’re an advisory that believes in integrity and transparency, and we work to a comprehensive and regulated ethical standard, so you can feel confident your finances are in safe hands. We respect that taking the step of trusting someone with your finances can make you vulnerable. We’re committed to protecting you, providing you with peer-reviewed advice that only seeks your best interests, and always making sure you know exactly what’s happening with your money – in language that you understand.
In addition to that, we have three unique commitments to our client:
- We care about outcomes for our clients and team. Everything we do is to create something better.
- We work to ensure our engagement experience is second to none, in value, tools and resources.
- We keep our advice accessible to everyday people, and we approach all our clients with genuine care.
We’ll never attempt to guarantee stock market returns or house prices, but we will always stand by our dedication to serving our clients with ethics and integrity, and our commitment to being real, honest, and welcoming. We guarantee two things when you work with us:
- You will make better decisions for your future, and you won’t have to make them alone.
- You will get clarity on your financial goals and how to reach them.
We use The CAREphilosophy®, which is designed to work in the real world for people with a variety of portfolio goals and risk profiles. While traditional investment theories are focused on asset selection, with a minor emphasis on market timing, the CARE Philosophy is designed to also absorb the risks posed by investor behaviour.
CARE works from three key areas: 50% investor behaviour, 45% asset allocation, and 5% timing and selection. The CAREphilosophy® is based on the principle that investor behaviour makes the difference in your investment success.
The DALBAR Study found that the average return from the top 500 U.S. listed companies between 1980 to 2000 in the U.S.A was 12%. In contrast, the average return for investors over the same period was 4%. What was the cause of that 8% difference? Negative investor behaviour.
CARE is split into four unique sections, or buckets, that work together. Each plays an important role in managing your wealth. Your asset allocation is tailored, based on your personal goals, your timeline to using your investment income, how you would like to use your money, and your risk tolerance.
- Core Investments (40%-100% portfolio depending on risk profile)
- Active Investment (0%-20% portfolio depending on risk profile)
- Reserves (Retirees 4 years worth of spending/Working Income Protection and Emergency Fund)
- Enhanced Returns (0% – 35% depending on risk profile)
We don’t rely on speculation or market timing — strategies that often prove ineffective. Instead, we focus on building a smart, forward-looking investment plan that’s designed to weather market ups and downs and support your financial success for years to come.
CARE is overseen by a team of expert Australian financial professionals with over a century’s worth of experience between them.
