What to expect

Reach Out or Get Referred

Whether you’ve reached out to us online, you’ve called us, or you’ve been referred by one of our clients, our first conversation is all about finding out what you need. We’ll call you for a short 15 minute chat and you’ll get the chance to let us know what you’re looking for in an adviser or what financial problems you’re looking to solve.

You’ll also get the chance to find out if My Wealth Solutions is the right fit for you. For example, we don’t do one-off advice or single-issue advice, as we provide holistic, goals-based advice. However, if we can’t help, we’ll refer you to someone who can. We’ll also use this conversation to confirm your appointment for your no-obligation Discovery session.

Discovery Workshop

Your Discovery session is completely free to you – we cover the costs of the 90-minute appointment. We ask you to disclose some personal and financial information prior to the meeting so your adviser can craft a personalised Discovery session.

This session is full of value – we chat about your goals, lifestyle, future plans and current situation. We’ll cover how we craft strategies to help you reach those goals, and give you a transparent fee profile for moving forward.

Our Discovery session isn’t designed for general advice – it’s for those who want to find out if we are the right fit as your personal financial adviser. Occasionally, we are able to offer a Discovery session for pro-bono general advice for those in need.

After your Discovery session, you’ll leave with a sense of possibility – we’ll find a way to overcome your hurdles, and create a roadmap to your priorities. We want you to feel confident, with clarity and peace of mind about your financial future.

We Craft Your Plan

This is where we begin working on the finer elements of your financial plan. Our team will research and compare the different options and products available to you to find the most financially effective. We’ll also fine tune each strategy to make sure you’re going to reach your goals while living a life that you’re happy with. You’ll also get the benefit of tax planning, insurance to minimise your risk, and a tailored investment strategy.

This will take roughly three weeks to put together, giving us a chance to fine-tune and make improvements to our strategies. We also have your plan peer-reviewed by 2 advisers or associate advisers within our business. 

Your Roadmap Presentation.

This is the most exciting part for us, and hopefully for you as well. We’ll set up a Statement of Advice appointment where we present our plan and walk you through each component in an easy-to-understand and jargon-free manner. We’ll clearly show you the benefit the plan will provide, as well as the reasoning behind each of our recommendations. You’ll have the chance to provide feedback and ask questions, and you’ll receive your plan to take home and review. 

Our holistic, goals-based advice uses industry-leading and cutting-edge products and strategies, while incorporating what you want to focus on – such as property or your children’s education. We want you to feel completely confident, so you’ll be able to take your time and ask as many questions as you need to. 

We Implement Your Plan

If you’re excited to proceed and want to invest in your financial plan, we’ll get started straight away. This does include some paperwork – not the most fun part – but we’ll make it as easy and simple as possible.

You’ll meet your dedicated Client Service Officer, and they will work with you on some of the more complex things, such as insurance or superannuation. With paperwork and legalities, it takes roughly 2-3 months for your financial plan to be fully underway.

Where to from here? Financial growth, confidence, and future security. We’ll be here for you to call anytime for questions about financial decisions or to respond to situations as they arise.

Each year – or more often if your plan allows – we’ll complete a full review of your financial situation to ensure that you’re on track to hit your goals. This will involve a check-in meeting with our team. Our fee schedule is also renewed each year, so we’ll also ask you to sign additional paperwork from time to time.
